A FLIGHT OF DOVES Installation for Hallowtide Remembrance Day.

The doves symbolized the souls of departed loved ones ascending to the heavens. I cut the doves from card stock, and secured them to fishline leading from the chancel to the balconies. The table in front held a trinity of doves, with candles to represent the light of prayers. People were given small paper doves and were invited to write the names of loved ones who have died, and place their paper doves on the table. The response was overwhelming.

TAPESTRY OF HOPE - New York Foundation for the Arts Award Recipient - Installation Event

At my “Tapestry” Installation events, guests are invited to talk about a woman who inspires hope, and choose a scarf to represent them. I form the scarf into a figure holding the shoulder of the one in front of her, and the composition grows from their stories. In the process, the participants create a caring, supportive community with each other. This event is great for all ages, and all types of clients.

Silk and Cotton Scarves are molded over foam core, hung on fishline. Arrangements and scarves change per installation, impacted by audience participation. This can also be commissioned for a home or business, using scarves or fabric that belong to the client.

A RETREAT OF TRANSFORMATION We began with a tablescape of twigs and butterflies. Each person brought a lighted “cocoon” symbolizing their intentions for transformation. A series of interactive exercises followed. At the end of the program, participants had their photos taken in front of the Butterfly Wings I created.
